Housekeeper, Wairau Hospital, Permanent Part-time

About the Role
As a Housekeeper at Wairau Hospital, your primary responsibilities will include cleaning both internal and external areas of the hospital. This includes patient rooms, bathrooms, and general areas such as offices and wards.
This position is ideal for individuals with previous experience in cleaning or customer service, as well as those who may be new to the field but possess a genuine passion for contributing to one of New Zealand's fastest-growing sectors and gaining insight into the operations of a hospital.
In addition to competitive hourly rates, we offer penalty rates for evening and weekend shifts, Kiwisaver contributions, and additional compensation or time off for public holiday work. This is a permanent part-time role, requiring a commitment of xx hours per fortnight (0.875 FTE), with shifts from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday. There is no on-call requirement.

About You
As a Housekeeper, reliability, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused service are essential. We are looking for both entry-level candidates and experienced household staff to join our team and ensure the hospital operates smoothly. Your efforts will help create a safe environment for patients to recover, provide comfort for visiting families, and support our staff in maintaining high hygiene standards. Comprehensive training will be provided to all new employees.
