About the Role We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Neurologist to join our progressive and multidisciplinary team at Rotorua and Taupo Hospitals. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and managing a range of neurological disorders, including complex epilepsy, movement disorders, and neuromuscular conditions. Your responsibilities will include: - Conducting inpatient consults and outpatient neurology care - Participating in regional neurology networks to enhance patient care - Developing local neurological services based on community needs We invite you to explore the detailed position description for more insights into this role. About the Team/Service/Location In this position, you will regularly provide neurology clinics in Rotorua and Taupo, while also contributing to consultations within the Rotorua Hospital inpatient unit. About You We are looking for a candidate who possesses experience in stroke care, epilepsy management, and movement disorders, which would be particularly advantageous. You should be a strong team player, bringing a professional, energetic, and driven approach to your work. A curious mindset, self-motivation, and a commitment to ongoing improvement are essential. To qualify for this role, you must be eligible for Specialist Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Additionally, you should have a strong interest in developing local specialist services to meet the needs of our rapidly growing and culturally diverse population. Experience in an acute hospital setting is also required, along with a willingness to actively participate in the education and training of undergraduate and postgraduate medical, nursing, and allied health staff.
