About the Role
As a Consultant Radiologist at Rotorua Hospital, you will work alongside a supportive team of skilled consultant radiologists and radiology support staff. We are open to requests for part-time and flexible working arrangements to accommodate your needs. The imaging services we provide include a range of modalities, such as:
- GE Apex Elite CT and Canon Aquilion Prime CT
- 1.5T Siemens Magnetom Aera MRI
- Siemens Artis Zee C-arm fluoroscopy suite
- GE Logic E10 ultrasound units
Our teleradiology service offers overnight on-call coverage, and home reporting is available for evening on-call duties. We maintain a healthy departmental culture focused on quality, audit, peer review, and teaching activities.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our radiology team includes a dedicated group of Medical Imaging Technologists, Radiographers, and Sonographers who work collaboratively to provide high-quality care. About You
To be successful in this role, you should be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) under the vocational scope of practice as an Interventional and Diagnostic Radiologist. Candidates should either hold a Fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) or demonstrate equivalence through qualifications such as FRCR, or completion of training in a comparable healthcare system that meets MCNZ standards.
