About the Role We are currently seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. In this role, you will work closely with our Head Chef to ensure smooth and efficient service during busy periods. Your responsibilities will include overseeing food preparation and cooking, maintaining effective communication between the front and back of house, and ensuring that every dish meets our high standards for quality and presentation. In addition to your culinary duties, you will assist with managing inventory and ordering, controlling costs, and training team members. You will also take the lead in the kitchen when the Head Chef is unavailable, helping to maintain our standards and workflow. Requirements To be successful in this position, you should have at least two years of experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or Sous Chef. A NCEA Level 4 qualification in cookery is essential, along with proven leadership experience or a strong desire to develop your leadership skills. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy mentoring your colleagues, and bring both creativity and consistency to our culinary offerings.
