About the Role
We are excited to offer a part-time, permanent position for an experienced Prosthodontic Specialist to join our dynamic Hospital Specialist Dentistry team. This role will primarily be based at the Greenlane Clinical Centre and Middlemore Hospital, with the possibility of working across various sites, including Health New Zealand facilities in Counties Manukau and Waitemata.
In this position, you will be part of Auckland Regional Hospital's Specialist Dentistry service, which provides secondary and tertiary level oral health services to adults in the greater Auckland area. You will join an established prosthodontic service within a multidisciplinary team of medical and dental specialists and senior dentists.
The focus of your role will be on delivering prosthodontic services and rehabilitating patients with dental, oral, and maxillofacial defects and disabilities in both inpatient and outpatient settings. As a teaching hospital, you will also supervise and support dental house officers and have opportunities to engage in clinical audits and research.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a qualified dental professional, recognized by the New Zealand Dental Council, and possess a current registration and Annual Practice Certificate with the Dental Council of New Zealand.
You should have:
- A minimum of 2 years of post-graduation clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- The ability to actively participate in and contribute to a multidisciplinary team approach to healthcare.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Competency in technical, measuring, and computer skills.
