About the Role
We are currently seeking a physiotherapist to join our team at the Physiotherapy Department of Taumarunui Hospital. This is a fixed-term position covering parental leave until November 2026, offering part-time work at 0.5 FTE, which equates to 40 hours per fortnight.
This role is perfect for a self-motivated physiotherapist who is eager to advance their career within a supportive and enthusiastic team environment. The successful candidate will be adaptable to change, resourceful, and flexible in meeting service needs. A genuine passion for working with patients and their whanau on their health journey is essential.
About the Team/Service
Our Physiotherapy service comprises approximately 90 dedicated staff members, including physiotherapists, assistants, and administrators. We operate across a large geographical area within Te Whatu Ora, Waikato, with teams based at Waikato Hospital, our secondary hospital in Thames, and our three rural hospitals in Tokoroa, Te Kuiti, and Taumarunui. Additionally, we have community bases in locations such as Morrinsville, Matamata, Cambridge, and Ngaruawahia.

About You
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- Registration as a physiotherapist in New Zealand, along with a current annual practising certificate.
- A valid full New Zealand driver’s licence.
- The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of the physiotherapy and wider multi-disciplinary team across various environments.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, their whanau, and other healthcare professionals.
