    About the Company Takapoto Estate is a stunning 600-acre property located along the picturesque shores of Lake Karapiro. Our estate is home to the award-winning Takapoto Angus, Takapoto Wine, and the renowned Takapoto Estate Showjumping arenas. We take pride in our beautiful surroundings and are dedicated to providing exceptional experiences to our guests. About the Role We are currently seeking a friendly, proactive, and professional Cellar Door Host – Event Support to join our team. This part-time position requires working one day a week on Saturdays for eight hours, with the potential for additional shifts on Sundays as needed. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for individuals wanting to join a passionate team in an exceptional estate environment. What You’ll Do In this role, you will welcome guests and lead engaging wine tastings, assisting visitors with wine purchases while promoting our wine club. You will maintain the cleanliness and presentation of our cellar door and event spaces, providing support to our events team during functions and special occasions. Additionally, you will manage stock and assist with cellar operations, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and staff. You’ll Bring To be successful in this role, you will need a current Duty Manager’s Certificate, along with previous experience in hospitality, wine service, or events. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, as is a positive, can-do attitude and strong initiative. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently are important, along with the flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
