About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a Fixed Term Contract, with the potential for transition to a permanent role based on performance and business requirements. This position is particularly suited for individuals who hold a degree in Quantity Surveying and have a minimum of five years’ experience in a commercial setting, specifically within Façade projects.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Contract Administration: Managing both pre-contract and post-contract negotiations, as well as maintaining communication with clients and suppliers.
- Forecasting & Cashflows: Preparing monthly payment claims, overseeing contract variations, and managing extensions of time.
- Estimations & Planning: Developing accurate estimations based on project drawings and specifications, including conducting feasibility analyses and preparing tender documentation.
- Commercial Support: Collaborating with the operations team to assist in negotiations and the resolution of disputes or claims.
- Process Development: Supporting the development and implementation of commercial management processes aimed at minimizing risks and enhancing project performance.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of five years of experience in Estimating/Quantity Surveying, with a focus on commercial Façade projects.
- Relevant Qualifications: A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Contract Law, along with hands-on experience with various contract forms, including NZS3910, NZS3915, and NZS3916.
- Experience in managing progress claims, variations, extensions of time, and overall contract administration.
- Proficiency in standard measurement methods and a proactive approach to addressing issues before they escalate.
