About the Role We are currently seeking a competent and energetic Plant Operator to join our Grain Operations team in Walton. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective drying of harvested grain while actively participating in the manufacturing of added value grain products. Your responsibilities will include: - Receiving, delivering, and drying grain according to specifications. - Completing required documentation such as weighbridge dockets, taking samples, and performing tests. - Maintaining inventory computer records as necessary. - Operating and maintaining grain drying equipment to ensure optimal performance. - Monitoring and adjusting temperature, humidity, and drying times to prevent over-drying or spoilage. - Regularly inspecting equipment to identify and troubleshoot any mechanical or operational issues. - Collaborating closely with the harvest team to ensure the timely drying and storage of grain. - Following safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment. - Keeping accurate records of drying processes, grain quality, and equipment maintenance. - Ensuring that the bagging and manufacturing of added value grain products meet specifications. We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team. While prior experience in plant operations or a similar role is advantageous, it is not essential. We provide comprehensive training to ensure your success in this position.
