About the Role
We are excited to announce a new technical support position within our focused, results-oriented, and supportive team. This full-time, permanent role is based in Petone, and it presents an excellent opportunity for someone looking to become a go-to expert in water network services. The remuneration range for this role is between $71,769 and $101,321, which includes KiwiSaver. Starting salary will be determined based on your experience and understanding of our network.
In this role, you will provide outstanding customer service and water network expertise, supporting trade-qualified individuals in executing planned and reactive work for both commercial and private water services. Your daily responsibilities will include managing inbound inquiries via our new customer support line, troubleshooting issues, investigating and locating asset information, and coordinating planned water shutdowns. You will need to assess asset information and locations, apply your water network experience, and collaborate with our internal operations teams to facilitate trade-requested work. Some travel to various sites for issue investigation and work scoping will also be required.
Requirements
We are looking for an ideal candidate who may be a Plumber seeking to transition away from hands-on work or someone who enjoys more customer interaction and resolution. The following qualifications and experiences will be advantageous:
- Qualification as a Plumber or relevant trade qualification, preferably at level 4 or higher in water reticulation
- Experience in leading planned work activities and familiarity with public work requirements
- Excellent customer service skills and a focus on resolution
- Understanding of work access permits
- Knowledge of water assets, asset location drawings, and leak detection technology
- Proficiency in written communication and technology use, including asset management and mapping tools
- Familiarity with local bylaws and requirements for private and commercial customers concerning water reticulation
- A valid driver's license
