About the Role
We are currently seeking Patient Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our Outpatients Department. This permanent, part-time position combines clerical reception duties with clinical support. Reporting to the Charge Nurse Manager, your responsibilities will vary daily based on departmental needs.
As a PCA, you will greet and welcome patients and their families in a professional and friendly manner. Your role may involve handling specific administrative tasks, providing general support to clinics, and assisting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to enhance the patient experience. We will provide specific training to equip you with the necessary skills for success in this role.
About You
To excel in this position, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Proficiency in computer operations, including data entry and document creation
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Experience in a healthcare setting, either as a Patient Care Assistant or in a customer service role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Experience in a multicultural environment
- Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Previous administrative experience within the healthcare sector is advantageous
