About the Role
We are seeking a Clinical Manager for our physiotherapy department in Whanganui, which comprises a dynamic team of inpatient, outpatient, and community physiotherapists, alongside allied health assistants. Our team works across various specialties, including acute medical, surgical, neurological rehabilitation, musculoskeletal care, and community services.
In this role, you will lead the operational management of our physiotherapy team and oversee the professional practice of physiotherapy staff across the organization. You will represent, empower, and facilitate the development of physiotherapists within our service delivery groups. This position reports directly to the Associate Director of Allied Health Scientific and Technical (ADAHST) in the Primary and Community Services team.

About You
We are looking for motivated and hardworking individuals with a positive attitude to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
Essential:
- Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
- A minimum of five years of physiotherapy experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence both within and outside the profession
- Excellent communication skills
- A passionate and dynamic advocate for the physiotherapy profession
- Working knowledge of operational management procedures
- A commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Whānau Ora
Highly Desirable:
- A Post Graduate Certificate/Diploma or other relevant postgraduate qualification
- Established networks at local, regional, or national levels
