About the Role We are currently seeking Residential Carpenters of all skill levels to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a variety of projects, ranging from multimillion-dollar housing developments to extensive renovations and light commercial works. For the right candidates, building apprenticeships may also be available. Requirements To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following: - A full set of carpentry tools - NZ carpentry qualification - A solid understanding of the NZ building code - Experience in finishing carpentry - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety - A valid Site Safe passport (we can assist with obtaining this) - Reliable transportation - The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test - Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand Role Responsibilities As a Residential Carpenter, your responsibilities will include: - Foundation repairs and replacements - Jacking and packing - Exterior cladding installation - Cabinet installation - Door hanging - House repiling and releveling - Room framing, wrapping, battening, and cladding - Hanging, repairing, and replacing drywall as needed - Installing various flooring types, including wood, carpeting, and concrete - Stripping out old or damaged timber - Repairing existing property elements where feasible - Installing and replacing trim, molding, windows, and other finishing work Benefits and Culture We offer an immediate start with competitive pay ranging from $28.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience.
