Decontamination Team Leader

About the Company Our client is a prominent decontamination company based in New Zealand, specializing in providing expert cleaning services for residential properties. With a focus on addressing various contamination issues, they ensure that homes are thoroughly cleaned and restored to optimal condition. About the Role We are currently seeking a Decontamination Cleaner to assume a leadership role within our client's operations, overseeing and actively participating in cleaning contracts across the South Island. This position entails some travel to job sites throughout the South Island, which may require overnight stays, so candidates should be prepared to work away from home as needed. The general working hours are Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM; however, flexibility is essential, as there may be a need for overtime and weekend work. Key Responsibilities - Conduct thorough cleaning and decontamination of residential homes, engaging in hands-on physical work - Ensure tasks are completed in accordance with a prepared scope of work - Lead and support cleaning staff effectively - Adhere to all health and safety compliance regulations as instructed Requirements We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Proven leadership abilities - Willingness to travel and work away from home for short periods - Background or experience in the trades or cleaning industry is preferred - A positive and proactive attitude towards work - Good physical health, with the ability to perform manual heavy lifting - A full New Zealand driver's license, with the capability to drive a manual vehicle and tow or back a trailer Benefits This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate along with paid travel time.
