About the Role
In this position, you will be responsible for creating access and laying underground cabling, either independently or as part of a team. Your focus will be on ensuring safety while completing tasks efficiently and effectively.
You will operate various machinery, including excavators, trucks, and trench compactors, and perform manual labor tasks such as digging, hauling cable, carrying, and lifting. It is essential to adhere to safe operating practices during all construction activities.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of two years of experience operating heavy machinery, with skills in digging and concrete work.
- Physical fitness to perform the required tasks.
- A positive and collaborative attitude.
- The ability to be self-motivated, organized, structured, and disciplined.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Previous experience in an electrical distribution company or knowledge of the power industry is preferred.
- A valid Class 1 driver’s license, with Class 2 being ideal.
