    About the Company Te Kaunihera aa Takiwaa o Waikato, also known as the Waikato District Council, is dedicated to serving the diverse communities within the Waikato District, which spans over 400,000 hectares. About the Role We are excited to announce a rare opportunity to join our Strategy Team in a vital role that will allow you to contribute to our organization and the community. In this position, you will lead a coordinated approach to external submissions from local and central government on behalf of the Council, focusing on matters of interest. You will also develop and implement best practices related to strategy across the organization and lead analytical efforts to inform our strategic priorities and decision-making processes. What You Will Do In this role, you will collaborate with various departments to support the review of Council strategies, action plans, and reporting processes. Your ability to provide evidence-based recommendations to management, the Executive Team, and Elected Members will add significant value to our organization. You will also work closely with key stakeholders to lead and contribute to external submissions related to both central and local government initiatives. What You Bring We are looking for candidates with at least five years of experience in policy development, analysis, and strategic advice. You should have a passion for dynamic projects and enjoy collaborating across teams to find innovative and effective solutions. Qualities such as curiosity, resourcefulness, and strong problem-solving skills will help you thrive in this position.
