About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated Microbiology Lab Technician who has a solid understanding of common microbiology food testing processes. This includes sample receipt, media preparation, testing, adherence to quality standards, as well as cleaning and calibration of equipment. The ideal candidate will have a tertiary science qualification and a minimum of 12 months of commercial laboratory experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential, as this is not an entry-level position. Attention to detail and a thoughtful approach to problem-solving are critical for success in this role. Experience with GB testing methods will be considered an advantage. In addition to technical skills, we are looking for someone who can adapt to the fast-paced and evolving environment of our company. You will need to demonstrate high personal and professional work standards, as well as the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively to meet turnaround times. The ability to learn various methods and work independently is also crucial.
