About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced carpenter with a minimum of two years of experience in New Zealand to join our team for a commercial project in Invercargill. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of carpentry tasks, including framing, foundations, and the installation of windows, doors, and other fixtures. Key responsibilities include: - Performing a wide range of carpentry tasks to ensure quality workmanship. - Reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans to complete work to specification. - Adhering to safety standards on-site to ensure a safe working environment. - Communicating effectively with your team to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently. - Working both independently and as part of a team as required. - Occasionally working Saturdays as needed. Requirements To be considered for this position, you should have: - A minimum of two years of proven experience as a carpenter. - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. - A full tool kit necessary for carpentry duties. - Reliable transport and a punctual work ethic. - Site Safe certification is advantageous but not required. Benefits We offer a competitive pay range of $33 to $35 per hour, based on experience, along with full personal protective equipment provided.
