About the Role
We are excited to offer a significant opportunity for a Health and Safety Divisional Manager to join our Canterbury team. This role is vital as a member of our senior leadership team, where you will play a key part in educating and supporting our local operational and management teams. Your focus will be to ensure they have the necessary tools to deliver work in accordance with health and safety compliance standards. Additionally, you will oversee and develop a team of five professionals.
In this role, you will:
- Utilize your knowledge of Fulton Hogan’s health and safety systems and processes to guarantee compliance and consistency across Canterbury operations.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders.
- Support local teams by identifying risks and taking a practical approach to on-site risk management.
- Foster a robust reporting culture among our people and subcontractors.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, candidates should possess:
- Significant experience in Workplace Health and Safety, preferably within a contracting environment.
- Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
- The ability to promote a positive health and safety culture, with a focus on placing people at the heart of everything we do.
- Proven experience in people and change management.
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships at all levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The capability to conduct comprehensive investigations, including root cause analysis.
- A relevant qualification in health and safety is advantageous.
