About the Role
In this role, your primary responsibility will be to schedule patients for theatre appointments. You will oversee the scheduling of patient appointments and surgery dates while managing elective surgical waiting lists across the Capital, Coast, and Hutt Valley regions. A key aspect of this position involves communicating with patients over the phone, so a professional and pleasant phone manner is essential.
This role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during core business hours. The salary range for this position is between $75,201 and $83,092.
About the Team
You will be part of a dedicated team comprised of Nurse Coordinators and Administrators who work closely together to provide planned care services aimed at enhancing the health and lifestyles of our community. Our primary focus involves planning and scheduling pre-assessment appointments and surgeries, ensuring that our patients receive accurate pre-surgery instructions along with their surgery dates and times.
We recognize that many patients may feel anxious about their planned surgeries, and our team is committed to creating a smooth and efficient process for them. The Elective Services team collaborates with various departments, including Medical Records, Outpatient Clinics, the Perioperative Unit, and Surgical Admissions, to ensure that all necessary information is shared throughout the scheduling process.
