About the Role
We are currently seeking a Centre Cook to join our team at Bear Park St Clair. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, balanced, and delicious meals for up to 60 children each day. We value creativity and encourage our team members to explore innovative approaches in the kitchen, making meal preparation a fun and engaging experience.
Our team is friendly, supportive, and dedicated to ensuring that our children receive the best in both nutrition and their overall learning environment. This position offers excellent working hours from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, totaling 35 hours a week, with flexibility available for the right candidate.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should ideally possess a Food Safety Certificate and a minimum level 5 cooking qualification. Proven experience managing budgets is essential, as well as a strong understanding of catering for food allergies and intolerances. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, engaged, and excited about the opportunity to interact with children.
Bear Park St Clair provides easy access to the outdoors, with generous outdoor areas and expansive lawns that allow children to explore and enjoy nature. Our beautiful garden and vegetable plots offer the children opportunities to plant and nurture flowers and vegetables, fostering a love for the environment. We treasure the curiosity of each child and provide dedicated spaces for their discovery and expression.
