We are currently seeking a dynamic and driven Manager to lead our team of skilled tradespeople responsible for maintaining essential Auckland Council Assets and Facilities.
About the Role
This position is based in Penrose and offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a role that brings variety, purpose, and the ability to make a significant impact. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, the Team Manager (Multi-Trades) plays a crucial leadership role in delivering integrated Hard Facilities Management (FM) services across Auckland Council’s local assets.
In this role, you will manage and inspire a team across multiple trades, including electrical, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and other building maintenance services. Your responsibilities will encompass people leadership, ensuring health and safety excellence, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing client relationships, and contributing to business growth through your expertise and initiative.
About You
We are looking for an experienced FM professional who possesses a solid understanding of trades delivery, ideally with a relevant trade qualification or equivalent hands-on experience. You should have a proven track record of successfully managing diverse teams or complex asset portfolios. Being highly organized, methodical, and skilled at planning work schedules are essential qualities we value.
If you have experience as a Facilities Coordinator or Project Manager, along with knowledge of building maintenance and preventative servicing, and are familiar with systems such as SAP, we encourage you to apply.
