About the Role
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a physiotherapist to join our community physiotherapy team based in Gallagher Drive, primarily serving the Hamilton central area. In this role, you will visit patients in their homes to assess, treat, and manage a variety of clinical presentations.
This position is ideal for an experienced physiotherapist who can independently handle a diverse clinical caseload. You should possess skills in general mobility, balance and falls, as well as experience with chronic neurological, musculoskeletal, and respiratory conditions. The successful candidate will need to be adaptable, resourceful, and flexible in response to the evolving needs of our service. A genuine passion for supporting patients and their whanau on their health journeys is essential.
About the Team/Service
Our physiotherapy service comprises approximately 90 dedicated staff members, including physiotherapists, assistants, and administrators. We operate across a broad geographical area within Te Whatu Ora, Waikato, with teams located at Waikato Hospital, our secondary hospital in Thames, and three rural hospitals in Tokoroa, Te Kuiti, and Taumarunui. We also have community bases in areas such as Morrinsville, Matamata, Cambridge, and Ngaruawahia.

Requirements
- Registration with the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board and a current annual practicing certificate.
- A valid full New Zealand driver’s license.
- The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of the physiotherapy and wider multi-disciplinary team in various environments.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with patients, their whanau, and other healthcare professionals.
- Experience in a community physiotherapy setting is desirable but not essential.
