    About the Company ANZCO Foods Canterbury is a leading provider of high-quality beef and lamb products, located on Seafield Road in Ashburton. About the Role We currently have several Slaughterer positions available that require a minimum of one year of prior relevant experience. These full-time positions operate on both day and night shifts, and candidates must be available to work on Saturdays and Sundays as needed. The roles offer a minimum of 30 hours per week, with a guaranteed minimum weekly income of $705.00, which can increase when allowances and piece rates are factored in. Please note that hours may vary above 30 per week, especially during peak seasonal periods and annual close-downs. Duties and Responsibilities As a Slaughterer, you will be responsible for various daily operations, including: - Operating restrainer and stunning equipment - Severing jugular veins of stunned animals to facilitate blood draining and dressing - Removing heads, legs, tails, and hides/skins - Extracting all internal organs - Trimming faults while adhering to hygiene and safe work practices - Cleaning and sanitizing work equipment and areas Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess: - At least one year of prior relevant experience - Reliability and a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team - A commitment to safety and quality excellence Benefits We are committed to supporting and developing our people and offer a competitive remuneration package.
