About the Role We are seeking an experienced Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Palmerston North. In this role, you will excel at managing a team, ensuring timely deliveries, and delivering outstanding customer service. Your understanding of transport and freight operations will be essential as you oversee the daily activities of our drivers, coordinate delivery and pick-up schedules with customers, and maintain the quality and security of their products. You are a proactive thinker and doer, known for your organizational skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments. You can respond effectively to changing situations, remain calm under pressure, and communicate clearly with your team and customers. What You Will Bring to the Role - Strong training and communication skills, both verbal and written - Physical fitness to handle freight movement, including lifting and pushing - A focus on health and safety, with the ability to lead and manage safety protocols within your team - Excellent communication skills, both face-to-face and via phone or email - Proficiency in computer use, particularly with Microsoft Office applications - A willingness to learn and develop new skills for career advancement - A Class 2 License is required for this role We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who can build and maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders.
