Our Aquatics unit manages two primary facilities year-round: the Dudley Park Aquatic Centre in Rangiora and the Kaiapoi Aquatic Centre. Additionally, we operate outdoor facilities, including the Oxford Community Aquatic Centre and the Waikuku Beach Paddling Pool, during the summer months. About the Role
We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent Assistant Coach to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Head Coach and be responsible for:
- Delivering and developing a high-quality Swim Coaching program
- Assisting in the growth of recreation participation within the district
- Supporting the ongoing training and development of the coaching team
- Maintaining and developing strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers
- Assisting with team management and administrative tasks as required
Requirements
Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
- Self-motivated with great attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team and serve a diverse customer base
- A bronze certification or an equivalent qualification from overseas
- Proven knowledge of and passion for swimming
- Availability to work rostered shifts during weekdays and weekends at both Dudley Park Aquatic Centre and Kaiapoi Aquatic Centre
