For more information, please visit our website at www.dickiedirect.co.nz. About the Role We are currently seeking a reliable and physically capable Warehouse Storeperson to join our growing team. This role is essential for the safe and efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of fertilizers, contributing to the smooth operation of our warehouse. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 5 PM, with a training period from 7 AM to 5 PM. The position will be based across both of our Hastings locations. Key responsibilities include: - Operating forklifts and loaders - Utilizing computer systems to track stock - Maintaining health and safety standards by ensuring a clean and organized work environment - Directing and unloading trucks Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following: - Team Player: Our store team collaborates closely to complete tasks efficiently, accurately, and safely. Being a true team player is essential. - Good Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively is vital to our safety culture. We encourage team members to speak up about both successes and challenges. - Forklift Experience: While not mandatory, experience operating a forklift would be beneficial. - Numerical Proficiency: The ability to work with numbers is crucial for calculating blends and managing stock levels. - Proactive Approach: Our Store Managers lead by example and value individuals who can think independently and proactively identify tasks that need attention.
