About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Colposcopist to join our Women’s Health team at Christchurch Hospital. In this role, you will oversee the colposcopy service across the Canterbury region, ensuring quality and integrity in alignment with national standards. You will collaborate closely with clinical leaders, chairing monthly multidisciplinary meetings, leading audit preparations, supporting the triaging process, developing service protocols, and providing clinical leadership in accordance with the Cervical Screening Programme (NCSP) guidelines.
Your responsibilities will also include ensuring alignment with the Cervical Quality Improvement Programme (C-QuiP), mentoring and training colleagues, and proactively leading service improvement initiatives that enhance patient care.

About You
To excel in this role, you will need the following qualifications and experience:
- Vocational registration in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Certification through the Cervical Quality Improvement Programme (C-QuiP)
- Proven experience in colposcopy and leading multidisciplinary teams
- A strong commitment to quality, audit, and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and time management skills
