About the Role We have several Process Worker positions available for our 2025-2026 season, commencing in October. While relevant experience is advantageous, it is not a requirement as we provide comprehensive training for all new hires. These roles involve both day and night shifts. Our facility is located on Seafield Road in Ashburton. Applicants should be prepared to work on weekends, as these full-time positions require a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week. The starting salary is $705.00 per week, with the potential to earn more based on additional allowances and piece rates. Please note that hours may fluctuate above 30 hours per week depending on workflow, reflecting the seasonal nature of our business and planned annual shutdown periods. Duties and Responsibilities As a Process Worker, your tasks will include: - Performing yard duties and handling livestock. - Processing meat carcasses according to customer specifications. - Separating organs and glands from carcasses using safe knife handling practices. - Operating machinery to process, pack, and transfer carcasses or products. - Packing boned meat and meat products into cartons. - Moving carcasses to chillers and freezers. - Loading meat products into trucks. - Cleaning and sanitizing work equipment and work areas.
