About the Role
We are currently seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. This full-time, permanent position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will have the opportunity to advance your career within a company that values outstanding service and promotes a collaborative work environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently, effectively, and safely conducting all planned maintenance, reactive or remedial service work, fault diagnostics, and installation tasks related to Passive Suppression Systems (Fire Alarm Systems). You will work under the direction of the Operations Manager, Fire Alarm Manager, Project Manager, or Fire Protection Administrator. Your professionalism and craftsmanship will be crucial in ensuring that all work meets current commercial and industry standards.
You will have the flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality fire protection services. Ensuring a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues, customers, and the general public will be one of your key responsibilities. This position will also require availability for after-hours work and emergency call support on a rotating basis.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Proven experience in the fire alarm industry
- Self-motivated, organized, and flexible with an enthusiastic attitude
- Well-presented, highly organized, and driven
- Reliable with quick learning abilities and a proven ability to build relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of fire alarm standards and installation practices
- Familiarity with all aspects of health and safety systems
- A proactive team player
- A current Driver's License
