About the Role We are currently seeking experienced Class 5 Drivers with asphalt experience to join our dynamic civil team in Hamilton. This is a hands-on position ideal for individuals who are comfortable stepping out of the cab to assist with on-site paving operations when necessary. The role offers a competitive pay rate ranging from $30 to $34 per hour, along with an additional 8% holiday pay. We are looking to fill this position with a start date available in mid-January. What You’ll Be Doing In this role, your responsibilities will include: - Driving a Class 5 truck and trailer to and from various sites - Assisting with asphalt paving operations - Loading and unloading materials safely and accurately - Maintaining a clean and safe vehicle at all times - Communicating effectively with dispatch and site personnel - Adhering to all company policies and health and safety requirements - Supporting additional on-site duties as needed What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria: - Valid Class 5 driver’s license - Proven truck driving experience with a solid track record - Previous experience in civil or roading work is preferred - Strong references from prior employers in the civil industry - A drug-free status (pre-employment drug testing will be conducted) - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and efficiently - A valid passport or New Zealand birth certificate - Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional night shifts every few weeks Benefits We offer a range of benefits, including: - A competitive hourly rate plus 8% holiday pay - A supportive, team-oriented work environment - The opportunity to start in mid-January - Potential for ongoing work and career progression within our growing company Why Work with Tradestaff?
