About the Role
We are currently seeking a New Zealand Qualified and Registered Electrician to join our team. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for a skilled trade professional looking for a challenging role within an established company.
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, altering, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring systems and equipment. You will interpret electrical plans for new constructions and existing structures, design functional circuitry, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
Requirements
To qualify for this position, you will need to demonstrate the following:
- New Zealand Registration and Practising Licence
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand (either Citizenship or Residency)
- A clean New Zealand Driver's Licence
- A strong work ethic characterized by honesty and trustworthiness
- The ability to work independently and manage your own jobs
- Experience in both commercial and residential electrical work
- High standards of professionalism and personal presentation
- Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with both customers and colleagues
- Ability to pass a pre-employment police check
- Current residency in Queenstown or the Southern Lakes area
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment
- Understanding and executing electrical plans for new builds and renovations
- Designing and implementing electrical circuitry
- Identifying and rectifying defects in electrical systems
- Estimating labor and material costs from blueprints or work plans
- Communicating effectively with clients and team members
- Keeping clients informed about project progress and timelines
- Adhering to New Zealand laws and safety regulations, along with company safety guidelines
This is a full-time position with variable hours, typically from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although we offer some flexibility as needed.
