About the Role
As a Shift Supervisor, you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, food trailer, and catering services. You will lead our team to ensure smooth service and provide necessary support to staff members.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring the quality of our Indian dishes, ensuring the safe operation of kitchen equipment such as the tandoor, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant. You will be the point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns, stepping in to manage situations when the restaurant manager is unavailable.
In the food trailer, you will assist with setup, take customer orders, and uphold safe food handling practices. For our catering services, you will be involved in packing, delivering, and setting up food at various events.
Additionally, you will manage inventory by tracking stock levels and reordering supplies as needed. You will also collaborate with vendors, handle payment transactions, adhere to cash procedures, and maintain accurate records. Marketing assistance and compliance with hygiene and safety regulations will also be part of your role.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, we require a minimum of two years of work experience in any role, or an NZQA Level 4 qualification. Any relevant qualifications in hospitality will be considered an advantage.
Candidates must be available to work on weekends, public holidays, and split shifts. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate the ability to work independently and possess a genuine passion for hospitality. Your commitment to contributing to our team’s success is essential.
