About the Company
Located at the base of Huntsbury Hill near the Ōpāwaho River, our purpose-built centre occupies the historic site of St. Anne's Church, which has served the community for nearly 100 years. We are fortunate to be surrounded by excellent local schools, parks, cafés, and a nearby retirement village, all of which provide wonderful opportunities for the regular excursions we cherish with our tamariki.
Our educational philosophy is informed by the RIE and Pikler approaches, emphasizing the individuality of each child and their unique interests, strengths, and learning pace.
About the Role
As the Centre Manager, you will lead with passion, ensuring that we achieve excellent learning outcomes for our children while managing the day-to-day operations smoothly. Your focus will be on building strong relationships with whānau, staff, and the broader community, bringing energy, positivity, and vision to your leadership role.
This is a permanent, full-time position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor of Education or Diploma in Teaching Level 7 (Early Childhood Education) along with current Teacher Certification
- A strong understanding of child-led curriculum, pedagogy, and ECE regulations
- A commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice
- Proven coaching skills to nurture and develop your team
- Highly organized and efficient, capable of managing multiple priorities
- A collaborative leader who embraces innovation and simplification
