About the Role
We are currently seeking a New Zealand Registered Plumber to join our team and engage in a diverse range of commercial and industrial maintenance and installation projects. This role offers a chance to enhance your leadership skills, work on varied projects, and enjoy consistent, fulfilling employment.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Performing plumbing maintenance and installations across commercial, industrial, and occasional residential projects.
- Working on drainage, sanitary plumbing, backflow prevention, hot and cold water systems, and gas fitting (if certified).
- Mentoring apprentices or contributing to the development of a skilled plumbing team if you are interested in leadership opportunities.
- Collaborating with multi-trade teams, including electricians and carpenters, to ensure the delivery of high-quality work.
- Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance while ensuring compliance with safety and site requirements.
- Completing documentation accurately and addressing any technical or safety issues as necessary.
- Participating in toolbox talks and site safety meetings to promote a strong safety culture.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A valid New Zealand Plumber registration with a current Practising Licence.
- Experience in commercial and/or industrial plumbing environments.
- Confidence in working with health and safety systems such as SWMS, JSA, and LOTO.
- Working at Heights and Confined Space certification (or a willingness to obtain these).
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication with clients and team members.
It would be advantageous if you also hold backflow certification or Gasfitter registration.
