We are excited to announce a new opportunity at our Invercargill Branch as CablePrice, a long-standing supplier of Hitachi construction equipment, has recently become the importer and distributor for Tigercat forestry and off-road industrial machinery in New Zealand. We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and qualified Heavy Equipment Team Leader. In this role, you will manage our busy Equipment team while ensuring that safety remains a top priority. We are looking for someone we can invest in and support in their professional development. You will be joining a collaborative and professional team that works with some of the most innovative equipment in the industry.
About the Role
As the Heavy Equipment Team Leader, your primary responsibility will be to lead and develop our team, fostering a culture of safety and accountability. Your background in the Heavy Equipment and Machinery industry will be essential as you empower your team to take ownership of their safety practices. You will also leverage your mechanical capabilities and technical skills to diagnose faults and service heavy equipment effectively.
To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to run a productive workshop, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. We value a 'can do' attitude that reflects resilience and reliability, much like the machinery we work with.
Requirements
- A strong commitment to health and safety, which is our number one priority at CablePrice.
- Significant experience in the Heavy Equipment and Machinery industry.
- Proven experience or a willingness to learn in leading a team with a unified focus.
- Extensive knowledge of Heavy Equipment.
- The ability to empower the team to take ownership of their safety practices.
- Mechanical capability and technical skills, including diagnosing faults and servicing Heavy Equipment.
- Excellent diagnostic ability and analytical thinking to navigate complex issues and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Outstanding organizational skills to ensure an efficient workshop environment.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- A resilient and proactive attitude.
Benefits
At CablePrice, we offer a competitive pay rate ranging from $40.00 to $47.00 per hour, depending on your skills and experience, along with an additional 5% for Team Leader duties.
