About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Equipment Technician/Diesel Mechanic to join our team at the Invercargill Branch. This opportunity arises as we have recently been appointed as the New Zealand importer and distributor for Tigercat forestry and off-road industrial machinery. In this role, you will utilize your diagnostic and mechanical skills to service, maintain, and repair a diverse range of heavy machinery, primarily within the forestry and construction sectors. We are looking for a mechanical trades professional who is dedicated to delivering quality, efficient, and accurate service and maintenance outcomes. Your ability to go above and beyond will be essential in this critical support role. Requirements To be successful in this position, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes: - A strong commitment to health and safety, which is our number one priority at CablePrice. We prioritize looking after ourselves and each other. - A Heavy Diesel and/or relevant Automotive Qualification. - Prior experience with Tigercat equipment would be advantageous. - Strong mechanical capability and technical skills, particularly in diagnosing faults and servicing heavy commercial vehicles. - Excellent diagnostic ability with analytical thinking to tackle complex issues that arise in our day-to-day operations. - Confidence in computer literacy and a customer-focused mindset. - A proactive attitude, similar to our machines—tough, reliable, and productive.
