About the Company We are a New Zealand-owned and operated International Freight Forwarder and Customs Broker, with branches throughout New Zealand. About the Role In this position, you will experience a diverse range of responsibilities. You will primarily engage with customers to address their import and export sea requirements, focusing mainly on import sea operations. Your tasks will include order tracking and providing quotes to customers and agents. Additionally, experience with air cargo would be advantageous. The role also involves assisting with the management of movements into and out of the store. You will report directly to the Christchurch Branch Manager and will undergo training to become a TFO, serving as a liaison with MPI for audits and record keeping. About You We are looking for candidates who have both import and export operations experience and a genuine passion for the industry. The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes: - Warehouse or store experience - A forklift license is required for this role - Proficiency in Cargowise 1 is essential - Excellent time management and organizational skills - A proactive approach with the ability to think outside the box and use initiative - Strong attention to detail - A collaborative team player who performs well under pressure - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel - Resourceful, with a sense of ownership over tasks - A professional demeanor, good manners, and a sense of humor Sound Like You?
