About the Role We are currently seeking a full-time permanent Customer Services professional to join our Christchurch team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic team player with extensive import freight experience. We are looking for someone who can provide exceptional service to our customers and hit the ground running. Candidates should have at least three years of relevant experience in a similar role within New Zealand. In this role, you will enjoy a variety of tasks and will be supported by a dedicated team that is passionate about delivering first-class service. An immediate start is available for the right candidate. Responsibilities include: - Handling customer inquiries and identifying the best service options - Preparing quotes and maintaining rate cards - Managing orders, including handling import bookings primarily for sea freight, with some air and courier tasks - Liaising with overseas agents and monitoring shipments - Managing invoicing and customer reporting - Arranging deliveries and coordinating with Customs Brokers for clearances Requirements To be considered for this position, you should possess the following technical skills: - Sound knowledge of Incoterms and supply chain systems - A minimum of three years of relevant experience in the New Zealand freight industry, with a focus on import sea operations - Proficiency in computer usage and good keyboard skills - A positive attitude and a sense of humor - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong time management abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to multitask - Experience with CargoWise1 is preferred but not essential Benefits If you have the skills and experience we are looking for and would like to join a close-knit team, we encourage you to apply with your updated CV and cover letter.
