About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Stem Cell Haematology to join our dynamic team at Te Whatu Ora - MidCentral. This part-time position (0.7 FTE) offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of cancer care, specifically supporting patients undergoing Autologous Stem Cell Transplants within the Regional Cancer Treatment Service (RCTS).
In this role, you will provide advanced clinical care and leadership throughout the Autologous Stem Cell Transplant pathway. You will be responsible for liaising and coordinating care between the New Zealand Blood Service and MidCentral District, as well as managing the Autologous Stem Cell Transplant database and the necessary reporting required by national Te Whatu Ora. Active participation in multidisciplinary meetings and regional cancer service planning will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to prescribe within your scope as a Registered Nurse Prescriber.

About You
What We Are Looking For
Essential qualifications for this role include:
- A current Registered Nurse with an active APC (NZNC)
- A minimum of 3-4 years' experience as a Registered Nurse
- A relevant master's qualification (or the commitment to work towards it within agreed timeframes)
- An RN prescribing endorsement (or the commitment to work towards it within agreed timeframes)
- Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and achieving equitable outcomes for Māori
Desirable qualifications include:
- A minimum of 3-4 years' experience in oncology or haematology nursing
- A Senior Nurse PDRP portfolio
- Experience in nurse-led clinics and advanced care coordination
