This dedication to excellence helps us remain a leader in our industry. About the Role We are excited to offer a career opportunity as a Maintenance Fitter at our Feedmill site in New Plymouth. In this position, you will report directly to our Plant Engineer. The Feedmill is essential to our livestock operations, supplying poultry feed to farms across the upper North Island region. This role involves working day and afternoon shifts from Monday to Friday, with on-call responsibilities every second week and weekend. What Does the Role Involve? As a Maintenance Fitter, your primary responsibility will be to minimize downtime and disruptions in processing by performing timely repairs and general maintenance. You will ensure compliance with all company and statutory quality and safety policies while emphasizing cost-effective solutions. In this role, you will proactively seek opportunities to enhance plant efficiencies, utilizing your engineering and process knowledge to identify and mitigate reliability issues. You will also provide expert knowledge and training to implement operator maintenance activities, focusing on key areas such as batching, grinding, pellet press operation, and services. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, be personable, and thrive under pressure in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
