About the Role We are excited to announce multiple openings for Distribution Line Mechanics in various locations across Auckland. This full-time position offers a minimum of 40 hours per week, with the potential for overtime and participation in a standby roster. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of tasks, including: - Identifying electrical systems in preparation for work - Climbing and working on electricity network structures - Assisting in the installation and maintenance of transformers, particularly for our Power Services division - Operating lines machinery and equipment in an electricity network environment - Assessing the condition of electricity supply lines - Developing work plans for the construction and servicing of overhead electricity supply lines and equipment - Joining and replacing overhead conductors and hardware in electrical networks up to 33 kV - Installing and replacing electricity network pole structures and associated conductors - Rigging electrical network structures and handling aerial bundled conductors Requirements To be considered for this role, candidates should possess: - An EWRB Practicing License or Limited Certificate as a Distribution Line Mechanic - A relevant trade qualification - A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in distribution line work, adhering to industry standards - A thorough understanding of current regulatory and industry requirements - A valid driver’s license (either New Zealand or overseas) - Availability to participate in a standby roster Benefits We offer an attractive remuneration package ranging from $36 to $44 per hour, along with several benefits, including: - Comprehensive health insurance - Life and disability cover - Generous KiwiSaver contributions - Enhanced parental leave - Birthday leave - Long service rewards - Opportunities for career advancement How to Apply If you are interested in this opportunity and believe you would be a great fit for our team, we encourage you to apply by clicking the 'apply' button below.
