About the Role We are currently seeking a skilled Cable Jointer to join our team based in Silverdale, Auckland. This full-time, permanent position guarantees a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of participating in a standby roster. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and installation of low voltage (LV), high voltage (HV), and extra high voltage (EHV) underground cables within your qualification and WTC authority levels. Your contributions will have a significant impact on our operations. Key responsibilities include: - Identifying electrical systems in preparation for work. - Completing all assigned tasks related to the installation and repair of underground cables. - Building and maintaining effective relationships with Electrix and Vector networks staff, customers, and suppliers. - Ensuring all allocated plant, equipment, and tools are well-maintained and in good working order. - Providing prompt assistance in repairing system faults and participating in the faults standby roster. - Conducting all work in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. - Operating ground and structure-mounted electrical equipment associated with electricity lines up to 33 kV. Qualifications and Skills We are looking for candidates who possess: - An EWRB full or limited license. - At least three years of hands-on experience in distribution line work adhering to industry standards. - Comprehensive knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements. - A valid Driver’s License (either New Zealand or overseas). - Availability to participate in a standby roster.
