About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist to join our team at Southland Hospital. In this role, you will deliver assessments and interventions across various clinical areas, working closely with an interdisciplinary team. The position offers structured rotations that typically last six months, encompassing:
- Acute wards (medical, surgical, orthopaedics, paediatrics, critical care, maternity, and emergency department)
- Rehabilitation (Assessment and Rehabilitation)
- Community services
- General outpatient services, including group programs
For experienced clinicians who wish to concentrate on specific areas, we are also open to fixed placements. This role requires participation in weekend and on-call rosters.
Salary range: $82,856 to $107,600 per annum (pro-rated), aligned with the Allied, Public Health, Scientific, and Technical Collective Agreement, and will be determined based on your experience and qualifications.

About You
We are looking for candidates who ideally:
- Hold a current Annual Practising Certificate with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand (essential)
- Have at least two years of physiotherapy experience in hospital or community settings, preferably within a health system comparable to New Zealand's
- Demonstrate sound clinical reasoning and the ability to work independently
- Are strong team players with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to healthcare and learning
- Are open to either rotational or non-rotational positions, depending on service needs and personal career goals
