About the Role We are seeking a permanent clinical pharmacist for a part-time or full-time position (up to 40 hours per week). This role is ideal for a pharmacist with a minimum of three years of clinical hospital experience. The position involves both ward-based clinical responsibilities and dispensary activities, supported by our team of dedicated pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Key responsibilities include participating in ward rounds, conducting medicines reconciliation, providing discharge counseling, offering dispensary services, and promoting the safe and effective use of medications. Clinical opportunities may span various areas, including medical, surgical, cardiology, pediatrics, and more. You will be expected to deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services focused on improving patient outcomes and optimizing medication utilization. About the Team/Service/Location Our pharmacy team is highly respected by clinicians, nursing staff, and senior management throughout the organization. We are continually exploring ways to enhance the services and care we provide. Our department has a robust clinical presence across all hospital areas and strong connections to the local community. We offer a comprehensive range of pharmaceutical care and extended roles across multiple clinical settings. Our team places a strong emphasis on professional growth, clinical development, and optimizing medication use for our patients. About You We are looking for a qualified pharmacist with at least three years of hospital experience. You should hold a valid New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) in good standing. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, enjoy collaborating with healthcare professionals, and possess effective teamwork and communication skills. A desire to learn and expand your clinical knowledge within a supportive pharmacy team is essential.
