About the Role We are currently seeking a dedicated Purchasing Coordinator to join our team at our Head Office. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating purchasing activities to ensure the timely procurement of materials and supplies. You will build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts and pricing, and monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and plan procurement strategies while maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery schedules. Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations will also be a key aspect of your role. Requirements To be successful in this position, we are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of comprehensive purchasing management experience. Previous experience in the wholesale sector or FMCG environment is preferred, ideally within the flooring industry, although this is not a strict requirement. Strong procurement and purchasing experience in a trade setting is essential, along with excellent computer and organizational skills. You should possess effective communication and interpersonal abilities, as well as the ability to work collaboratively and positively across departments. Additionally, strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills are important for this role. Benefits We offer a competitive salary along with a profit share bonus package. This position is based in Penrose and operates Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
