About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated Programme Coordinator to join our Kainga Whakatipu team in Palmerston North. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a programme that enhances the health and wellbeing of tamariki and their whanau in our rohe. As a key member of the Kainga Whakatipu hub team, you will work closely with the Programme Director and the Delivery Team, ensuring the smooth operation of our initiative aimed at helping eligible hapu mama, tamariki, and whanau live in warmer, drier, and healthier homes.
Your responsibilities will include managing referral systems and processes, serving as the primary contact for the programme, coordinating certain interventions, ordering programme resources, undertaking quality improvement initiatives, and managing information in the programme database. Collaboration with team members and key partners will be essential as we work together to provide effective interventions that improve local housing conditions.
This position is part-time, requiring 32 hours of work per week.
About the Team/Service/Location
The Kainga Whakatipu initiative is the Healthy Homes Initiative (HHI) provider for the MidCentral region. Our programme focuses on assisting eligible whanau living in cold and damp homes by providing education, advocacy, and practical interventions. Our goal is to increase the number of tamariki and their whanau living in warm, dry, and healthy homes, ultimately enhancing their health and wellbeing and reducing housing-related hospitalisations.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including a positive phone manner.
