About the Role
We are looking for an exceptional, organized, and friendly Centre Administrator to join our welcoming team. This key role is essential to the success of our centre, as it supports our mission of delivering high-quality care and education while adhering to Ministry of Education requirements.
As a Centre Administrator, you will be the welcoming face of our centre, providing outstanding customer service to our whānau, while also managing various administrative tasks behind the scenes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Answering calls and inquiries with professionalism and care.
- Supporting new family inquiries, enrolments, and conducting centre tours.
- Managing bookings and maintaining accurate records.
- Handling accounts, invoicing, direct debits, and payments.
- Meeting daily, weekly, and termly deadlines.
- Performing data entry, filing, and general administration tasks.
- Confidently using IT systems, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Occasionally assisting with tamariki.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualities:
- A friendly, approachable demeanor and confidence when interacting with people.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Reliability, trustworthiness, and the ability to work well within a team.
- Comfort with accounts and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Support and Training
You will never be alone in this role; our National Admin Support team provides ongoing assistance through a dedicated helpdesk. BestStart offers comprehensive training and guidance on Ministry of Education requirements as part of your induction.
This is a permanent position, requiring 20 hours of work per week from Monday to Friday.
