    About the Company We are a dedicated organization committed to providing exceptional support and care for individuals with special needs. Our focus is on creating a nurturing and enriching environment that promotes independence and well-being. We believe that every individual deserves compassionate care tailored to their unique needs. About the Role We are currently looking for compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide care for a 16-year-old female client who has autism, global developmental delay, and is non-verbal. Our ideal candidates will have experience working with individuals with autism and possess a strong physical capability. We particularly welcome candidates with a Pacifica or Māori cultural background who can help create a culturally enriched environment for our client. Shifts for this role are 12 hours long, with options from 7 am to 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am. Key Responsibilities As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for: - Assisting with personal care, exercise programs, and daily routines. - Engaging the client in meaningful and stimulating activities. - Providing emotional support in a calm and patient-centered manner. - Promoting independence while ensuring the client’s safety and well-being. - Collaborating effectively with the wider support team. Key Requirements To be successful in this role, you should have: - A Pacifica or Māori cultural background. - Experience working with children or individuals with special needs, preferably those with autism. - Physical fitness to support a strong individual. - Compassion, patience, and the ability to build trusting relationships. - Reliability, flexibility, and a commitment to making a positive impact.
