About the Role
We are currently seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager for the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) at Lakes Rotorua Hospital. In this full-time role, you will have the unique opportunity to lead a dedicated team while also maintaining your clinical skills, with 0.2 FTE allocated for direct clinical workload.
As the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of staff and resources within the SCBU and the Child Health Outreach Specialists team (CHOS). You will work closely with the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to provide professional nursing leadership and support, fostering an environment that promotes the development and maintenance of high standards of nursing care. Your goal will be to enhance client care outcomes through continuous quality improvement in nursing and clinical service delivery.
About the Team/Service/Location
The SCBU at Lakes DHB is a level two neonatal unit equipped with 10 beds, providing care for sick and/or preterm infants greater than 32 weeks gestation. The Children's Outreach Nursing Service caters to children with acute and chronic illnesses in their homes throughout the Lakes area, supported by a team of experienced children's nurses available five days a week.

Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or equivalent, either completed or in progress
- Registered Nurse (RN) / Registered General Nurse (RGON) / Registered Child Nurse (RCpN) with a current practicing certificate
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, completed
- Post-graduate qualification or equivalent in a clinical area
